Worship Committee

The Worship Committee is instrumental in developing and coordinating the elements of formal worship in a manner that will focus St. Stephen's on praising and serving God.  The committee is composed of the leaders of each group that are involved in the Worship process.  These groups include:  Altar Guild, Linen Guild, Flower Guild, Acolytes and Crucifers, Lay Eucharistic Visitors, Ushers (including Offertory and Oblation Bearers), Sunday Hospitality, Readers, and Chalice Bearers.

The leaders of each group are responsible for completing the tasks assigned to their sections as well as assisting the committee in fulfilling any special tasks that may be assigned by the Vestry.  The committee also assists the Vestry in deciding how many and when our formal Sunday services will occur and what direction and who will be called to lead our Music Ministry.

The fruits of the ministry are being involved with bringing our best gifts to God through the worship service.  The Worship Committee meets at 7 PM on the 1st Wednesday of each month.  For more information or to become a group leader, please contact Dwight Wolf (worship@ststephenshouston.org) or the church office at 713-528-6665.
