The Rev. Lisa Hunt

Lisa Hunt has been the Rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Houston since
July 1, 2006. She was Rector
at
St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Nashville,
Tennessee
for 16 years before accepting the call to St. Stephen’s.
During her tenure at
St. Ann’s, the parish went from near bankruptcy to a thriving congregation which was
actively engaged in its community in
East Nashville
. While in
Nashville, Lisa served on the Metropolitan Board of Public Education.
She has also worked as Vicar of St. Andrew’s, New Johnsonville,
Tennessee
and as an interim assistant chaplain at the University of the South in
Sewanee,
Tennessee
. In the diocese of
Tennessee, Lisa’s ministry included chairing the Clericus, membership on the Episcopate
Committee, and chairing the Youth Working Group of the Diocese.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University
of Toledo and a Master of Divinity from
Vanderbilt
University
Divinity
School. She also has an Anglican
Studies Certificate from The General Theological Seminary and she was a Senior
Executive Leadership Fellow at
Peabody
College, Vanderbilt
University

Lisa is
married to Bruce Farrar (below) and has two children, Max and Rose and a
stepdaughter, Annie.
